These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Misppelled Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17447906 (“Misppelled”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Misppelled Ltd operates the Sermon Registry website and service (“Sermon Registry”, the “Service”). Sermon Registry is a trading name of Misppelled Ltd, not a separate company. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you create an account, you accept these terms at that point and each time you continue to use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Anyone may browse published sermon and church listings without an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it and delete the associated private library data.

Sermon Registry is an archive and discovery tool for Christian sermons and church information. It is not a hosting platform. Sermon media remains hosted by third-party platforms and churches where applicable.

You may use the Service to search, discover, and access publicly listed sermons and church information for personal, study, or ministry purposes. Systematic scraping, automated mass downloading, or commercial redistribution of directory content without our permission is not permitted.

A member account may be used to save public sermons and churches and manually mark sermons completed. My Library is a private convenience feature, not a permanent copy of directory content: a saved item may become unavailable if its public record is removed or unpublished. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity carried out through your account. You may remove individual items or delete My Library at any time. If the same sign-in also has authorised church-administration access, deleting My Library does not remove that separate administrative responsibility or access.

When submitting a sermon, you confirm that you have permission to share or link to the content being submitted and that doing so does not infringe anyone’s rights. Submissions should be accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may edit, reject, remove, or update submitted metadata at any time.

For any material you submit, you grant Misppelled Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt, publish and display that material for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Service. You keep ownership of what you submit, and this licence ends for future use if the material is removed from the Service.

Submissions are reviewed before publication. Submission does not guarantee inclusion. Published entries may be removed or revised if found to be inaccurate, inappropriate, or in violation of these terms.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate metadata, but do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any listing. Transcripts, takeaways, and tags are generated with automated assistance, may contain errors, and should be checked against original sources.

Sermon Registry links to external platforms and church websites. These are operated by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or data practices.

Misppelled Ltd owns, or is licensed to use, the intellectual property rights in the Service. This includes its software and source code, the structure of its database and the selection and arrangement of the records within it (including any database right), its visual design, the Sermon Registry name and logo, and the written content of these pages. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you. You may not copy, extract, reuse or re-publish a substantial part of the directory without our written permission.

Sermon content, including recordings, transcripts, and related materials, belongs to the original speakers, churches, and publishers where applicable. Inclusion in Sermon Registry does not transfer ownership or grant additional permissions beyond what the original publisher has made available.

You must not use the Service to submit false, misleading, or harmful information; misuse correction or reporting tools; infringe intellectual property rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system; or engage in any unlawful activity.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any listing, transcript or automatically generated summary is accurate or complete. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Nothing in this section affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you are a consumer.

Subject to that, and because the Service is provided free of charge: we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss; we are not liable for the content, accuracy or availability of sermon media hosted by third parties; and our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to £100. We are liable only for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach.

If you use the Service in the course of a business, you agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost we incur as a result of material you submit infringing a third party's rights or otherwise breaching these terms. This does not apply to consumers.

We may suspend or close an account, remove content, or withdraw access where these terms have been breached, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the Service or its users. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from My Library; deleting an account removes your private member data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. These terms may be updated as the Service develops; the current version is always the one published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown below. Where a change materially reduces your rights we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Court proceedings may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you there.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the Service. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent.
