It is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), which it joined in 1982. Founded in 1829 as the tenth Presbyterian church established in Philadelphia, it describes itself as biblical, confessional, and Presbyterian, subscribing to the Westminster Confession of Faith and catechisms. The church holds weekly Sunday worship services in the morning at 9:00 and 11:00 (the latter also live-streamed) and in the evening at 18:30.
