You see, sometimes God puts us somewhere and we don't know the reason why. The family into which you are born—some of you might be wondering why you were born into that family. It is not by accident. God never does anything by accident. It is intentional. God has placed you there for a time like this, so that you will be the one that will break that chain that He wants to break in your bloodline.
In Acts 16:31, it says:
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy household."
If you shall be saved and thy household, this means God will save you not just for your own sake, but God is saving you so that you will be able to save generations and save your bloodline.
You see, some families on earth are known for faith. Some are known for excellence. Some are known for their integrity, and some are known for prosperity. But others are known for struggles. Recurring patterns of divorce, recurring patterns of addiction, recurring patterns of poverty, recurring patterns of anger, failure, and premature death.
Some will tell you, "Oh, my grandfather had this. My father had that, and I'm also going to have it." But I'm telling you today that there's going to be a breakthrough in that family bloodline. The true question is: if not you, who is going to stop the circle? If not you, who is going to become the turning point in your family bloodline? Who will become the breakthrough generation? I believe God has raised you for a time like this.
God blessing you is not just for your sake. God is blessing you so that you can also be a blessing to others. Genesis 12:2 says:
"I will bless thee, and thou shall be a blessing."
God does not just work by individuals. You are meant to be a vessel. You are meant to be the conduit through which God is going to bless generations. God does not just think individuals. He thinks generationally.
When He called Abraham, he was already thinking about Isaac. When He called Isaac, he was already thinking about Jacob. When He called Jacob, he was already thinking about the 12 tribes—Israel. This is the way that the Lord works, so that He can use the blessing He has placed on one person to bless generations.
Some circles in your family need to be broken today. In Galatians 3:13, it says:
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse."
You are a child of God, aren't you? So Christ has redeemed you from the curse. And because Christ has redeemed you from the curse, Christ is going to use you to redeem generations in your family, in your bloodline.
The gospel is not only about you going to heaven. The gospel is also about freedom—freedom from destructive patterns. That's why God has called you. When we talk about generational circles, we're referring to patterns. Repeated patterns of material failures, chronic debt, addiction, violence, and spiritual decay. But I'm believing God that through you He's going to break it in your bloodline.
Perhaps nobody in your family has owned a house, but you are going to own a house. Perhaps nobody in your family has been able to graduate with a first degree or second degree, but I'm believing that you are going to be the first and you're going to break that chain. Perhaps nobody in your family has built a business. You're not only going to build a business, you're going to build a flourishing business.
Every negative circle operating in your family, they break right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Every inherited limitation in your bloodline, they expire today in the mighty name of Jesus.
Families have altars. I'm believing God that God is going to restore altars—altars that have broken, altars that have gone cold. God is going to restore those altars. Joshua 24:15 says:
"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Every family on earth operates under an altar. An altar is a place of influence. An altar is a place where you commune, where you connect, where you meet with God. There are two types of altar: the negative altar and the godly altar.
The negative altars are sin that besets us—idolatry, bitterness, rebellion. All these things are altars that the enemy built for us. But we also have godly altars. Godly altars are prayers. You go on your knees in that place where you call the altar the place of influence. It's a place where you worship your maker. It's a place where you grow your faith.
Altars are critical. Altars are the ones that bring about breakthrough, because that is where you go and you commune with God.
God is going to use you as a breakthrough vehicle for your family. In Acts 16:31, the jailer received salvation, but it wasn't just him that received salvation. Through him, his entire family got saved. The entire household was touched because of his own salvation. One encounter changed the entire family.
That's what I'm believing God for your life—that your encounter with God is going to change your family because it's going to have a dominion effect.
God wants to establish generational blessings through you. The psalmist tells us in Psalm 112:
"His seed shall be mighty upon the earth."
Through you, the Lord is going to do great and mighty things in your family. I just want you to yield yourself so that you can be the breakthrough vehicle in your bloodline.
