You have the dominion mandate. This is a month of dominion, a season when God stops preparing you and starts positioning you for something greater—in life, in business, in ministry, in career. This is your season of dominion.
Giants appear everywhere there is relevance. They stand up in every place of importance. But if you truly understand that God has given you dominion, you should not run as others run. Instead, you must face your giant and face it out.
There is a David inside of you. You may not know it, but God will never allow you to confront a challenge bigger than you can conquer. The problem is that we allow our fear to promote the giant to the level of a giant and reduce ourselves to the level of a grasshopper.
When the children of Israel came to Kadesh Barnea, they promoted their enemies to giants and reduced themselves to grasshoppers. They said, "They look like giants in our eyes. We look like grasshoppers in our own eyes. Even in their eyes, we look like grasshoppers." Fear made them forget the mandate God had already given them.
I challenge you: you have the spirit of a conqueror. You will conquer what has been conquering you.
David did not fight Goliath as a boy running from sheep. He fought him as a man who had already killed a lion and a bear in secret, where no one was watching. God is a specialist at using ordinary things to perform extraordinary assignments. You are dressed in civilian uniform, but because you have the dominion mandate, you are a military by right.
The first secret David exhibited in slaying the giant was courage and confidence. You must confront the powers challenging your dominion mandate with courage.
When David came to the scene, everybody was hiding—even the tallest man in Israel. But David came and confronted the giant everyone was running from. He was sent by his father on an insignificant errand: deliver food and bring back word. But he did not despise this assignment.
Do not trivialize any spiritual assignment given to you, no matter how small it is. David went on an insignificant errand and it brought him face-to-face with the opportunity to become a giant slayer. I decree: where you do not intend to go, an opportunity for lifting is waiting this week.
The second secret of a giant slayer is knowing how to handle criticism. David's brothers discouraged and criticized him, but he was not disturbed. He was selective in his hearing.
Be careful of two major deterrents in life if you want to experience and exercise your dominion mandate: be careful of the praise of people, and be careful of the criticism of people.
Don't allow the praises of people to get into your head. Don't allow their criticism to get into your heart. The same people who shouted "Hosanna" for Jesus later said, "Crucify him."
No matter what you do in life, settle it with yourself that some people will criticize you. If you walk on water, they say you are raising dust. If you lie down for them to step on, they say why are you not lying flat enough. Even if you die for them, they will say you didn't die well.
Your destiny is not tied to the critics. Run your race and fulfill your destiny. Never allow criticism to stop you. Those who are close to your heart are the ones who can break it. But I prophesy: everyone speaking against the purpose of God for your life, God will stop their mouths.
Eliah tried to discourage David by despising the assignment. He said, "Whom did you leave those few sheep for?" But be careful who you listen to. Whoever you give attention to gives you direction. Be selective in your hearing.
The third secret is to remember your past victories. When David was brought before Saul, everybody ran away saying Goliath was too big to face. But David said, "I've been shooting lizards and tiny birds. This one is so big I can't miss him."
David looked unqualified, but he said, "Before you disqualify me, I have a testimony." God does not choose the qualified. He only qualifies the chosen.
When Joseph received the mandate of dominion in Egypt and brought a solution, everybody forgot about his CV. Nobody asked for credentials. Nobody said he couldn't speak flawless Egyptian. Because anyone who brings a solution gets a promotion.
"If he has done it before, he can do it again."
I declare that you will tear your Goliath. If you have a testimony in this your dominion mandate, I declare it will give you bigger testimonies in the name of Jesus.
The fourth secret is knowing that the battle is the Lord's battle. David said to Goliath:
"You have come to me with your sword and shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord who has given me dominion, the Lord God of Israel, whom you have defied. Today, I will cut off your head from your neck."
I prophesy to you: every giant—giants of fear, giants of intimidation, giants of limitation, giants of generational curses, giants of generational affliction—shall be slaughtered in the name of Jesus.
David chose five stones. Why five? Not because he thought one might miss and he would need another. He said, "Goliath, I know you have four brothers. I have one stone for every one of you. In case this stone brings you down, your brothers want to come, I have a stone for every one of you."
Wherever you see giants, wherever you see the enemy, there is demonic grouping. Where you see a spirit husband, you see a spirit of delay, a spirit of barrenness. Where you see a spirit of anger, you see a spirit of violence, you see hate.
I prophesy today: every group of demons harassing your life, they come down with the stone of faith. The battle is of the Lord. Victory is yours.
Finally, the fifth secret: don't give up. I know you have been tried. People abuse you for what you didn't do. Don't give up. People cheat you. People tell lies about you, and others believe them without giving you the benefit of the doubt. People marginalize you and say your own is too much.
Giant killers don't give up. People with dominion mandate don't give up.
Get up, dress up, show up. You may not feel like it at times, but no matter how you feel, people with dominion mandate don't give up.
The Bible says:
"Though the righteous fall seven times, yet he rises again. Rejoice not over me, my enemy, for though I fall, I will rise." (Proverbs 24:16; Micah 7:8)
No matter what you are going through, don't give up. Consider what you are going through as your training. David was training in the wilderness for many years until one day an opportunity showed. Pass-through is needed for breakthrough.
No matter what you have lost or what you have missed. No matter who broke your heart. No matter the depth, the crisis, or the situation you are going through—don't give up. And if you don't give up, you will soon get up.
When there's a giant in front of you, there's a David inside of you.
Why does God allow us to face giants? One: he has given you dominion and power to overcome. Two: he allows you to face giants in order to promote you.
Without test, there is no testimony. If you are not trained, you cannot reign. He trains you to enthrone you. What you are going through is your training. God allows us to face these things because he wants to promote you.
Nobody knew David until he slew Goliath. Your enemies will push you into your miracle.
Giants do fall. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Every army of Israel had the dominion mandate and were qualified to do what David did. But it is one thing to have the dominion mandate and be under the covenant; it is another thing to be able to operate the covenant.
Some of you, the giant you are facing now is not your giant. It is the giant of your father. Some of you face the giants of your mother. What happened to them is happening to you.
If they had killed the serpent in Genesis, the serpent would not have become a generational dragon in the book of Revelation. The serpent they didn't kill in Genesis had grown to be a dragon in Revelation.
So many of us are faced with giants that are not our giants. But we may not have a stone; we have a rock—the Rock of Ages. If you come against him, he will break you in pieces. If he collides against you, he will grind you to powder.
As we go to prayer, I leave you with this declaration:
In the name of Jesus, I receive the mind of an overcomer and the heart of a champion. I am a giant slayer. I slay my giants.
