The enemy fights anointed people differently. If you don't want the level of fight you're experiencing, you can forfeit your anointing. When you're anointed, the anointing attracts a different type of fight.
You're not dealing with obstacles when you're anointed—you're dealing with opposition. The greater your calling, the more strategic the attack. The enemy doesn't use the same tactics on everyone; he tailors his attacks based on your gifts, purpose, and weaknesses.
What you're going through right now is tailor-made for you based on your gifts, your purpose, and your weaknesses. This is why you can't compare your battle to somebody else's battle. You might be catching more hell because you possess more anointing. Your fight is different because your future is different.
Every now and again you have to get yourself together and not allow people to convince you that something is wrong with you. People will try to make you believe something is wrong with you because every time they turn around, you're going through—but they're not going through. They look at you and say that the fact you're always going through might be because something is wrong with you.
But you're going to have to look back at them and say: maybe I'm going through not because something is wrong with me, but because something is right with me. Sometimes the hell you're catching today ain't got nothing to do with who you are—it's about who you're getting ready to be in your future.
The future is the unfolding of time that has not yet occurred, shaped by decisions, Divine Purpose, and preparation. This is not just something you enter—it's something you create through faith, wisdom, and strategic movement.
The future is not a mystery to fear; it's a reality to prepare for. Some of you keep saying, "I'm afraid of the future. I don't know what the future holds." But here's the truth: the future holds whatever you decided to do today. The future is the harvest of your present decision.
If you decide not to go to class and act a fool this week, your future is going to be failure. You won't be able to look at God in 2026 and ask why you didn't get to go to school. God will look back and say, "No—you told me you didn't want school in 2026 by how you acted in 2025."
Your future is not waiting for you—it's waiting on what you do next. Your next move is going to determine what you eventually see. Whether you stand still or stand in faith, you're going to see results. This means your future is not a place you randomly arrive at; it's a product of your decisions, discipline, and obedience.
If you get into your future and don't like it, blame you. Some of you need to look in the mirror before you even leave your house and say, "I'm going to make a conversation with you clear: tomorrow you're going to get yourself together."
God has a future for you, but it is activated by what you do today. The future is not something you wait for—it's something you walk into. Your next move determines your next season. You don't pray for a future you're not preparing for. Faith without action is a fantasy.
Your future isn't on hold; it's in motion. The question is: are you moving with it?
The problem is that we preach a gospel of no accountability. You think everything that goes wrong is the devil and everything that goes right is you. So you believe that 2029 is already prepared and whatever you're doing now doesn't matter. But that's not true—your future is being created as we speak.
Every message you respond to shapes a future. Every decision you make shapes a future. David never would have fought Goliath if he didn't decide to take his brother's lunch. God didn't tell David, "When you wake up this morning, your future is prepared. By 3 o'clock you're going to fight Goliath and everybody's going to see how amazing you are."
David woke up, got ready to go to his regular job, and his father said, "Take your brothers some lunch." If David had decided to be disobedient, he would have forfeited his meeting with Goliath. If he forfeited his meeting with Goliath, he never becomes king.
Some of you are blaming the devil for blocking you when your decisions are your worst enemy. If you want better, you've got to understand the difference between obstacles and opposition.
A lack of spiritual intelligence will cause you to confuse obstacles with opposition. This confusion leads to either unnecessary frustration or wasted energy.
Not everything in your way is the enemy. Some things are meant to develop you, and some things are designed to destroy you. This is why you need spiritual intelligence—because if you don't have it, you'll end up loving something that's trying to kill you and killing stuff that's trying to love you.

You're going to end up like Jonah if you don't understand this. God tells Jonah to go to Nineveh. Jonah runs from Nineveh, and God causes a storm. The storm is tearing the boat up, and Jonah is asking God to stop it. But why didn't God stop the storm? Because the storm was an obstacle, not opposition.
God won't take you out of what He put you in. That's why some of you are exhausted right now—you're telling God, "I need you to fix this," and God is like, "Why would I fix what I broke?"
Obstacles develop you while opposition distracts you. The purpose of an obstacle is to prepare and strengthen you for your next level. The purpose of opposition is to intimidate, distract, and destroy you.
Sometimes God gives the gifted gifts that don't look like gifts until you get spiritual intelligence. When I did my first service at 25 years old, God told me He was going to save a lot of lives through my ministry. I put 1,200 chairs out. Twelve people showed up. God gifted me failure.
When I tried to buy a church building, it was empty. I walked around that building, preached in it—there was a hole in the ceiling. I walked around it like it was Jericho. Still didn't get it. He gifted me failure.
When I tried to buy the strip mall next to Farsdale, the owner gave me the keys and said, "This is your building." It didn't pass any inspections. I couldn't get my earnest money back. I didn't even have legal representation. I didn't even know how to do it. I was so embarrassed I just left it and lost it. God gifted me brokenness.
I thought all of that was a problem until I negotiated properly. Once I got to the point where I understood what I was doing, I sat down and said, "No, I need to do a full inspection. I want to make sure we check this. I'm going to put our earnest money in escrow. My lawyers are going to handle it." I got spiritual intelligence.
Sometimes God gives you a difficult experience so He can show you the gift you're going to be to somebody in the future. I thank God for the seed of poverty He gave me so I would know how to balance prosperity in my future. The Bible says God causes all things to work together for good, but if you ain't got spiritual intelligence, you'll be looking at a gift saying, "I don't want this."
God will put you on a job with a nasty boss because he knew you were going to have your own business in the future. He gifted you a nasty boss so when you become a boss, you'll know what not to become. He gifts you crazy parents so you'll be a way better parent than you ever had. He gifts you problems so that when Goliath shows up in your future, you're going to be like, "Oh, it's on now."

You say, "Pastor, I'm dealing with warfare. Let's pray about it. We've got to get spiritual." But what's your warfare? "They're over here trying to cut my stuff off." That's not warfare—you didn't pay a bill. We don't have to pray about that. How much do you need? You need 75? If I give you 75, the devil is gone. Stop trying to spiritualize your bad decisions.
You say, "Pastor, I need spiritual warfare. My whole circle is turning on me." No—we need to talk to them. You're messy. You're telling everybody's business. You're always in something. They're not turning on you. They just realized you might be the opposition.

There's a friend who'll stay on the phone and say, "I'm going to be okay." There's a friend who'll pray with you. And then there's a friend who's spiritually attuned enough to sense when you're moving different, avoiding people, or being short—because they know you only act that way when you're in something you shouldn't be in.

The devil watched Jesus for forty days without eating, then offered Him exactly what His flesh needed: "Turn these stones into bread." The devil isn't complicated; he's strategic.
I'mma offer you something you need now, praying you forfeit what you going to get later.
You don't get opposed until you're close to something powerful. If the devil is intensifying his attack on your life, it's because you are close to something—not just close to something, but close to that thing that will flip everything you've been praying for.
That's why he's after your mind. That's why he's after your spirit. That's why your faith is under attack. The devil knows you're too close to give up now.
Opposition usually intensifies right before breakthrough. The devil doesn't call an all-out blitz unless you're close to the goal line. You don't call an all-out blitz unless you're close to a first down.
If there are attacks on your mind, your circle, your children—you're close to something. What the devil hopes is that you'll quit. He knows if he can't make you extinct, he'll try to exhaust you.
You're closer than you think.
The enemy's strategy is tied to timing. He said, "If we don't take them out in March, by the time summer hits, we ain't going to be able to do nothing with them."
When opposition intensifies, recognize it as a sign:
I just got my second wind. Something in me just woke up. Now I realize no weapon formed against me shall prosper.
Demand your joy back. Demand your peace back. Demand your mind back. Demand your creativity back. Demand your position back. Demand your power back. Demand your anointing back.
This is critical:

Some opposition requires more than strength—it requires generational strategy. If alcoholism runs through your family line, you can't just "run" from it. You develop a strategy: don't keep alcohol in your house, avoid people who drink heavily, understand the spiritual reality that your bloodline is calling.
I don't like it, but it's in me. I'm almost scared that the moment I get a sip, the spirit in my bloodline going to start calling for more.
This is why opposition requires strategy, not just strength.
Remember Nehemiah building the wall. People came to him saying, "Come meet with us," but he didn't stop. He realized that not everything deserves your energy.

When God designs an obstacle, He designs it from a prophetic standpoint. He's Alpha and Omega—beginning and end. He was there at your beginning and is already at your end. He knows exactly where you are in the middle.
God is saying, "I know what level I'm taking you to. You won't survive that next level if I don't refine you on this level. So I have to set an obstacle to prepare you."

If you mislabel obstacles as opposition, you become bitter at God instead of learning from Him. A lot of people are hating on who they should be learning from.
You can't out-nice being a threat to somebody. You can't out-nice it. Some of you are exhausting yourselves trying to dim a light that is becoming undeniable. You've taken a step back, you're not talking much, you're trying, you're promoting others—but God has made you undeniable and un-ignorable.
Joseph's brothers threw him in the pit. The pit was an obstacle he had to endure—a process of development. His brothers' hatred was the opposition. Understanding the difference helped him survive and eventually thrive.
