I want to start with something that has stayed with me for years. A revivalist named Evan Roberts once said something powerful: "I don't ever want to miss a gathering or a service where the glory came and I wasn't there." We're living in one of the most monumental times of our day, entering into one of the greatest moves of God that we've ever seen hit the planet. Because of that, I want to make sure that as a believer, when the doors are open, I'm there. I don't want to miss that divine moment where He falls in a room and marks people, and I wasn't there.
Give preference to the Holy Spirit as He comes in the room tonight. My wife and I have a saying: I'm going to eat whatever He's serving. If it's joy, I'm going to take the joy. If it's that fear of the Lord, that reverence and holiness that comes in the room, I'm going to feast on that. If it's healing, I'm going to take it. If it's the fire of God, I'm going to take it. If it's the tears that come down my face where He baptizes me in love, I'm going to take it.
Here's the thing: picky eaters don't get fed. If you only want God wrapped up in your own little package and delivered to you in a way that you'll receive it, you'll miss what He's pouring out. When the Master Physician walks in the room, He doesn't give everybody the same diagnosis and He doesn't treat them the same. Your neighbor may need fire shut up in their bones because they've been walking around dead for a really long time. But you might need the joy because you've been sad for a while.
The beauty of the Holy Spirit is that He operates differently with everyone. I always come prepared with a message, but most of the time I have no idea what God's about to do. He's teaching me in the things of the Spirit—teaching me just to yield and to lean in to what He's doing.
John 7:37 says this: "Come to me and drink, and out of your belly will flow rivers of Living Water." It's time for the church to quit being dehydrated. We've got a dehydrated church, and then we wonder why we have a powerless church and why there's no demonstration.
Paul the Apostle said, "I don't come to you with wise and persuasive words only, but I come to you with a demonstration of the spirit's power." Paul knew how to drink. The joy of the Lord is going to be your strength—that's the strategy that He uses when the enemy comes at you.
One of the most profound things the Lord showed me is from 1 Samuel. The Lord told Samuel: "Fill your horn up with oil and go to the house of Jesse, and I'm going to show you who you're to anoint as the next king." Samuel filled his horn with oil and went to the house of Jesse.
I'm here to tell you tonight that my horn is filled with oil. I am filled with fresh oil. The Bible says in Psalms 92:10: "You shall be filled with fresh oil." Some of you need an oil change. If you don't get your oil change every once in a while, your engine might break down. We've got to be in it for the long haul.
The days are over when we see ministers of the Gospel burn out, broke, busted, and disgusted. The reason why they're burnout, broke, busted, and disgusted is because they don't have any fresh oil in their engine. That is the key to longevity and Revival—you've got to be one who drinks deeply and lets the oil of His presence saturate every part of who you are.
Why do we open up the altars? Why do we have Revival? Why do we do these things and let you roll on the floor and shake? It's because it's from the place of encounter that you're transformed, and you go out and do something with what you've been given. We come in here, we drink, and we go out and we leak everywhere we go.
The Bible says that we are not transformed by performing; we are transformed by beholding. It's as we behold Jesus as in a mirror that we become like him. Quit trying to change yourself—you'll never do it. Get caught up in His presence and you'll begin to look like him, you'll begin to smell like him, you'll be ready to release what He carries.
Isaiah 10 says this: "The anointing destroys the Yoke." Come on, the Bible doesn't say the anointing breaks the Yoke—something that's been broken can be put back together again. But the anointing destroys the Yoke.
Before we get into more of this, I feel like there might be some people in the room that might need some yokes destroyed tonight. Jesus says in Matthew 10:7-8: "When you enter into a city, declare that the kingdom of God is at hand... Make it your habit to break off demonic pressure and presence and spirits off of people. Make it your habit to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to cast out devils freely. You have received the kingdom; now freely give it away."
I'm here to tell you that anxiety, fear, depression, suicidal thoughts, and addiction are not normal. It's not normal when a witch comes into your dreams and tries to bring fear on your life. When the enemy wants to oppress you, it's to stop you from carrying what God's called you to carry.
Anytime God wants to put something new on you, He's got to destroy some old things that you've been carrying. A lot of times what happens is we've been carrying something for so long it seems normal. If you're dealing with anything like that—night terrors, people chasing you, trying to hurt you—tonight is your night of liberation and freedom because the anointing is here to destroy the Yoke.
Father, I thank you by the authority of Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. We bind up every Spirit of anxiety, every spirit of fear, depression, heaviness, suicidal thoughts. We bind addiction. We bind a spirit of Witchcraft, Jezebel, whatever—and we say in the name of Jesus, you back off, get off, get out. We say you are free. No more, no more, no more.
We bind terror in the night. We bind every witchcraft encounter. We bind that Spirit of control, and we say no in Jesus' name. We renounce it. We break it off. We bind it as it's bound in the heavenly; it is bound in the earth. We declare freedom, freedom, freedom. You are free in the name of Jesus. Be free, be free, go, go, go, go, go.
Who the Son sets free is free indeed. The Spirit of God is setting you free. No more torment, no more bondage, no more addiction, no more witchcraft, no more anxiety, no more fear.
Romans 1:16 says: "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation." The word "salvation" in the Greek is soteria—it means healed, saved, and delivered. It's the power of God to save you, to heal you, and to deliver you.
Isaiah 9:7 says: "Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end." God's government is His rule, His reign, His dominion. In other words, His government is always advancing and always increasing.
I believe with all of my heart that God wants to bring you increase tonight. I believe He wants to release gifts tonight. He wants to release a greater measure of anointing on you personally. He wants to release miracle signs and wonders through your life. He wants to activate you so that you can be prophetic instead of pathetic. He wants to activate you to carry the gospel with a demonstration of the spirit's power.
I believe He wants to bring impartation tonight. I believe He wants to release a Revival anointing. We all carry different flavors, different anointings. If I only speak to you pastorally but I don't speak to you apostolically, you're going to be deficient. If I don't be who I am and walk in that anointing that carries joy, you're going to be vitamin J deficient.
It's a problem when the world is having more fun at the pub than they can have in church. If we just started having fun and taking in our vitamin J, I promise you the world is going to get really attracted to what we carry. One of our core values in the Kingdom is this: if we're doing ministry, number one, we're drinking deeply. We're getting intoxicated with joy, and we're having fun. That's why I don't get burned out. I'm just ready to go.
Revival is for the church. When people hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they get revived. Revival brings you back to your first love, back to the zest, the zeal, the purity, the power, the hunger, the thirst that you had.
I'm sick and tired of hearing mature Christians put dampers on new believers. They say, "Well, you just wait 10 years, you'll simmer down." I don't ever want to simmer down. If you knew what He did for me—if you knew how He set me free of drugs, of alcohol and partying and wild living, and then invested His presence on the inside of me and used me for Revival all around the world—if you only knew, you wouldn't be able to sit still.
You're called to Revival. You're called to bring dead things back to life. You're called to bring a church that's dead, religious, broke, busted, and disgusted back to life. You're called to go into those realms of influence and carry the presence of God and cause people's hearts to burn. You were born to make people burn.
When Jesus was resurrected, He showed up to two men on the way from Emmaus, and they didn't know it was Jesus. But after He disappeared, they said amongst themselves: "Didn't our hearts burn when He opened up the scriptures to us?" You are called to awaken the bride. You are called to carry the atmosphere of presence.
Deuteronomy 34:9 says: "Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him." It's transferable.
Numbers 11:16 says: "So the Lord said to Moses, gather me 70 men of the Elders of Israel whom you know to be Elders of the people and officers over them, bring them to the Tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. Then I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take the spirit that's on you and I'll put that same Spirit upon them, that they shall bear the burden of the people with you."
Revival is not meant for one man or one woman. This move of God is meant for a generation of people who will carry it. But here's the beautiful part of the story: in Numbers 11, there were actually a couple of men who didn't make the meeting—Eldad and Medad. I don't know who in the world would name their kids Eldad and Medad, but they weren't in the Revival meeting like you are tonight. They were at home. But did you know that the same spirit that was being poured out on those in the meeting, the two guys at home got it too?
What's the point? Your sons and your daughters, your family members, whoever it is you're believing God for—whatever is being poured out here, I believe wholeheartedly that the spirit of God is being poured out on your families. Some of you are going to get a sign over the next 48 hours. You're going to hear about young Billy who came home, who got an epiphany.
I was in Dawsonville with Emma, and I prophesied that over the next 24 to 48 hours there's going to be a prodigal who's going to come home. When you're in the presence of God, I believe the same principle applies—what's being poured out here is going to hit your kids and your grandkids. This actually happened: a woman came up to us not even 30 minutes after we were still praying for people. She said, "You're never going to believe what just happened. I haven't spoken to my daughter in 3 years. I got a phone call from an unknown number, but I decided to call it back. It was a rehab clinic. My daughter, who was on drugs, turned herself in and said, 'Mom, I'm ready to come home.'"
I prophesy that to you. Whatever God's pouring out in this house corporately, I declare that it's going to come on your families too in Jesus' name.
Most places that I go, people don't even know me, but God will always send me a praying mom. I have no idea that the reason why I am here doing what I am doing today is because I had a praying mom. I had a mom who prayed for me when I was on drugs, partying, getting arrested, doing all kinds of stuff that you would not even believe. Most people that knew me back then—they look at me now like, "I don't even recognize this person." Yeah, because the old man died.
My mom just wanted me saved. I remember she sent me a CD—a Jackie Velasquez CD. I would play it and wake up to go to work, and every morning I would hear the song being played: "God so loved the world that He gave." I would hear that, and it would just get in my spirit. God was trying to apprehend me in the darkest moments of my life, and my mom just wanted me saved.
But you know what she got? She got the epitome of Ephesians 3:20: "To him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything you hope, dream, or ask or imagine." She just wanted me saved, but God said, "Nope. I'm going to give you a revivalist." I'm here to prophesy to you: your kids aren't just going to be saved. I prophesy they're going to be World Changers.
Hebrews 6 talks about the laying on of hands as elementary teaching. Acts 8:14 says: "Peter and John went down to Samaria. Once they heard that they had received the word of the Lord, they went to lay their hands on them so they might receive the Holy Spirit."
In church history, I love it. Smith Wigglesworth—Smith was crazy in the spirit. He drank deeply of the Holy Ghost. He'd get up and just dance and pray in tongues for an hour and declare scripture. He moved in miracles with crazy boldness. He punched people in the stomach who had cancer and they got healed. He threw a dead person up against the wall—he'd do it two or three times and the third time they would resurrect. He ruined funerals.
Smith Wigglesworth prayed over a man by the name of John G. Lake. John G. Lake brought the healing rooms to Spokane, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. He opened up the healing rooms, and during his lifetime, Spokane became known as the healthiest city in the United States. People came from all over the world to get healed in the healing rooms.
John G. Lake went back to Africa and ministered there. He planted churches, and there was a man by the name of Rodney Howard Brown who came out of those churches. That man named Rodney Howard Brown brought Revival to America. He was one man God used in the 90s, carrying the spirit of Revival. He came from South Africa, and people began to hear what God was doing through him. People would drive from all over the United States just to be in his meetings.
There was one man—a Baptist pastor who was broke, worn out, tired, busted, and disgusted—who said, "If I can just get to one of Rodney's meetings, I think I can capture something there." He went to some of Randy Clark's meetings and got completely saturated by God. He was in the prayer line, and Rodney Howard Brown was laying hands on everybody, and everybody was going down in power one by one. But when Rodney came to this pastor, nothing happened. He just stood there while everybody around him was on the floor.
Here's the thing: sometimes you come into an atmosphere like this and you receive prayer. Don't be surprised if you don't feel anything tangible—that doesn't mean you're not receiving something. I had a young man, one of our students, who never felt anything when he got his hands laid upon him. He never felt anything tangible, but he believed. When he went back to his church, they did a fire tunnel, and he noticed something: every person that he laid hands on, one after the other, just began to fall out under the power of God.
What happened? He received something. Revival is transferable.
So this man, Randy Clark, received from Rodney Howard Brown. Randy Clark was then called by John and Carol Arnott to Toronto for a regular meeting. The spirit of God was poured out, and the rest is history. The Toronto Blessing was birthed in 1994 because there was a hungry, worn-out Baptist pastor who was willing to yield and receive impartation from someone who was carrying substance, who was carrying the anointing, who was carrying the presence to carry Revival.
He went to Toronto, and that one man ended up being a catalytic converter for that realm and region. It broke open and became a worldwide, international move of God. Some men from England came to that meeting, got so wrapped up in God's presence, and received a divine impartation. They took it back to England.
Then there was a man by the name of Steve Hill who heard that God was moving in England and showed up where God was moving. He was hungry and desperate: "I've got to have a touch of God. I don't care what it looks like. I'm done. I've got to have more." There's this desperation, this hunger. This man received what God was doing and went to a place called Brownsville to speak on Father's Day.
There was a man by the name of John Kilpatrick, a worn-out pastor who had just lost his mother and was tired of the ministry. He was crying out to God, but nothing was happening. But all of a sudden Steve Hill shows up for a fresh impartation and begins to preach. He called an altar, and over 2,000 people—the whole church—came to the altar. People started falling out under the power of God, getting completely wrecked and blasted in God's presence.
John Kilpatrick was so apprehended by God, he laid on the stage. He was so touched by the glory of God—that weighty glory—he could not even lift his head. He had to have somebody lift his head and hold up his eyelids because the glory of God was resting so heavily on him.
There's a man by the name of Bill Johnson, my spiritual papa, who went to Toronto and became dear friends with Randy Clark. I had the wonderful privilege to travel with Bill all over the world, sit in those Randy Clark meetings, and lay hands on people with Randy and Bill.
I'll never forget a meeting with 2,000 students in first-year school of ministry. We were laying hands on about 2,000 students, and I was following behind Randy as we went down the line. People were just being slain into the power of God. All of a sudden, somebody taps and pushes me on my right shoulder. I turn around—nobody's there. I keep going and lay hands on people, and then I feel another tap and shove on my shoulder. I look, and no one's there.
Everybody's on the floor. Nobody can touch me. Then we make our way around the stage, and as I'm walking up on the stage, again I get shoved in the right shoulder. The Holy Spirit revealed to me: "It's an angel. I'm sending an angel to you. Listen, what Randy can do, you can do too. I want you to go for it."
That was the message. There is an anointing that is transferable. But here's the thing: I can pray for you until my hair falls out, but if you don't get off the floor of encounter and use what you've got, it will never be activated. It will lie dormant. People don't need your dormant anointing—they need an active anointing.
You've got to take risks. Revival comes at a cost. It will cost you everything. It will cost you your life.
1 Chronicles 16:9 says: "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, looking for someone whose heart is fully His, so He can show Himself strong on their behalf."
Ezekiel 22:30 says: "I looked for someone among them who would stand up and build a wall before me on behalf of the land, so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one."
Anytime God gets ready to do anything in the earth, He looks for a man. He looks for a mom. He looks for a dad. He looks for a school teacher, a judge, a doctor, a businessman. He's looking for people who will yield to His Spirit.
Genesis 2:5 says: "God had not caused it to rain on the earth because there is no man to till the ground." I believe God is ready to pour out the rain of His outpouring on our land and on our nations, but He's got to find someone who's willing to heal the ground. He's got to find a people who will say yes at any cost. He's got to find a people who will do whatever it takes and burn for Him.
Revival is transferable, but it also comes from the place of intimacy with God. Let me tell you how this works. When I get up in the morning, I fix myself whatever, and I'm just sitting there. I read my Bible, spend time with Jesus, drink my coffee. My boys have a habit—my sons—where they just come in and sit on my lap. We get each other's face. We talk, laugh, spend time together.
There have been many times when my son will get up and walk off into another room, and my wife will say, "Benjamin, you smell just like Daddy." That's the anointing. The anointing is when you get in your Father's presence, you get so wrapped up, you behold Him in such a way where that living substance called the anointing—that living fragrance—rubs off on your life. It saturates who you are. It carries weight. It carries authority. It carries permission. It carries commission. It carries everything you need to be effective for Him.
But if Benjamin didn't show up the next day and hang out with me, that cologne's going to wear off. You are meant to spend time with the Lord Jesus. You are meant to hang out with God and let His anointing rub upon you.
If you want to carry the anointing to carry Revival, it is time to buy some oil. There's a story of the ten virgins. They were all given the lampstand. They were all given the same measure. But there were only five that were wise—only five that went and bought oil. It's time to buy oil, and the cost is your life.
Look to your neighbor and say: "Neighbor, Revival comes in a man. Revival comes in a woman." If you have it, you can release it. You can bring it. When God wants to bless you, promote you, increase you, do something extraordinary in your life, He'll always send a man or a woman to bring it to you. It's just the way of the Kingdom.
I've sat in a lot of Revival meetings and seen people like Rodney Howard Brown and Randy Clark. One thing I want you to understand: when people start moving in power and the glory, sometimes they can come across almost borderline arrogant. But I don't believe it's arrogant at all. I believe it's confidence in what they carry. In order for you to release what you carry, you've got to know what you carry.
We're not called to be ordinary people—we're called to be extraordinary people. Do you believe you're called to release Revival?
If you're hungry to be used for Revival, if you're hungry to be a carrier of God's manifest presence, if you're hungry to carry the anointing, I've got really good news: you can take absolutely no credit for your hunger. If you're hungry, your hunger is actually an invitation from the Lord Jesus Himself to take you to the very thing that you're hungering for.
Your hunger is His Divine invitation. Your hunger is His Divine permission. Your hunger is His calling on your life, saying, "Come, eat, drink, run with me." It's going to begin to fall. The spirit of God is going to fall on many of you, and your hunger on the inside of you is God's invitation to come to the banqueting table.
If you're hungry right now, that is your indication that it is time for you to be promoted. It is time for you to step into increase. I want you to begin to cry out to God. Make it personal. We're going to lay hands on you, and you're going to receive an upgrade tonight.

Revival is for the church. When people hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they get revived. Revival brings you back to your first love, back to the zest, the zeal, the purity, the power, the hunger, the thirst that you had.
I'm sick and tired of hearing mature Christians put dampers on new believers. They say, "Well, you just wait 10 years, you'll simmer down." I don't ever want to simmer down. If you knew what He did for me—if you knew how He set me free of drugs, of alcohol and partying and wild living, and then invested His presence on the inside of me and used me for Revival all around the world—if you only knew, you wouldn't be able to sit still.
You're called to Revival. You're called to bring dead things back to life. You're called to bring a church that's dead, religious, broke, busted, and disgusted back to life. You're called to go into those realms of influence and carry the presence of God and cause people's hearts to burn. You were born to make people burn.
When Jesus was resurrected, He showed up to two men on the way from Emmaus, and they didn't know it was Jesus. But after He disappeared, they said amongst themselves: "Didn't our hearts burn when He opened up the scriptures to us?" You are called to awaken the bride. You are called to carry the atmosphere of presence.
Deuteronomy 34:9 says: "Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him." It's transferable.
Numbers 11:16 says: "So the Lord said to Moses, gather me 70 men of the Elders of Israel whom you know to be Elders of the people and officers over them, bring them to the Tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. Then I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take the spirit that's on you and I'll put that same Spirit upon them, that they shall bear the burden of the people with you."
Revival is not meant for one man or one woman. This move of God is meant for a generation of people who will carry it. But here's the beautiful part of the story: in Numbers 11, there were actually a couple of men who didn't make the meeting—Eldad and Medad. I don't know who in the world would name their kids Eldad and Medad, but they weren't in the Revival meeting like you are tonight. They were at home. But did you know that the same spirit that was being poured out on those in the meeting, the two guys at home got it too?
What's the point? Your sons and your daughters, your family members, whoever it is you're believing God for—whatever is being poured out here, I believe wholeheartedly that the spirit of God is being poured out on your families. Some of you are going to get a sign over the next 48 hours. You're going to hear about young Billy who came home, who got an epiphany.
I was in Dawsonville with Emma, and I prophesied that over the next 24 to 48 hours there's going to be a prodigal who's going to come home. When you're in the presence of God, I believe the same principle applies—what's being poured out here is going to hit your kids and your grandkids. This actually happened: a woman came up to us not even 30 minutes after we were still praying for people. She said, "You're never going to believe what just happened. I haven't spoken to my daughter in 3 years. I got a phone call from an unknown number, but I decided to call it back. It was a rehab clinic. My daughter, who was on drugs, turned herself in and said, 'Mom, I'm ready to come home.'"
I prophesy that to you. Whatever God's pouring out in this house corporately, I declare that it's going to come on your families too in Jesus' name.
Most places that I go, people don't even know me, but God will always send me a praying mom. I have no idea that the reason why I am here doing what I am doing today is because I had a praying mom. I had a mom who prayed for me when I was on drugs, partying, getting arrested, doing all kinds of stuff that you would not even believe. Most people that knew me back then—they look at me now like, "I don't even recognize this person." Yeah, because the old man died.
My mom just wanted me saved. I remember she sent me a CD—a Jackie Velasquez CD. I would play it and wake up to go to work, and every morning I would hear the song being played: "God so loved the world that He gave." I would hear that, and it would just get in my spirit. God was trying to apprehend me in the darkest moments of my life, and my mom just wanted me saved.
But you know what she got? She got the epitome of Ephesians 3:20: "To him who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything you hope, dream, or ask or imagine." She just wanted me saved, but God said, "Nope. I'm going to give you a revivalist." I'm here to prophesy to you: your kids aren't just going to be saved. I prophesy they're going to be World Changers.
Hebrews 6 talks about the laying on of hands as elementary teaching. Acts 8:14 says: "Peter and John went down to Samaria. Once they heard that they had received the word of the Lord, they went to lay their hands on them so they might receive the Holy Spirit."
In church history, I love it. Smith Wigglesworth—Smith was crazy in the spirit. He drank deeply of the Holy Ghost. He'd get up and just dance and pray in tongues for an hour and declare scripture. He moved in miracles with crazy boldness. He punched people in the stomach who had cancer and they got healed. He threw a dead person up against the wall—he'd do it two or three times and the third time they would resurrect. He ruined funerals.
Smith Wigglesworth prayed over a man by the name of John G. Lake. John G. Lake brought the healing rooms to Spokane, Washington, and Portland, Oregon. He opened up the healing rooms, and during his lifetime, Spokane became known as the healthiest city in the United States. People came from all over the world to get healed in the healing rooms.
John G. Lake went back to Africa and ministered there. He planted churches, and there was a man by the name of Rodney Howard Brown who came out of those churches. That man named Rodney Howard Brown brought Revival to America. He was one man God used in the 90s, carrying the spirit of Revival. He came from South Africa, and people began to hear what God was doing through him. People would drive from all over the United States just to be in his meetings.
There was one man—a Baptist pastor who was broke, worn out, tired, busted, and disgusted—who said, "If I can just get to one of Rodney's meetings, I think I can capture something there." He went to some of Randy Clark's meetings and got completely saturated by God. He was in the prayer line, and Rodney Howard Brown was laying hands on everybody, and everybody was going down in power one by one. But when Rodney came to this pastor, nothing happened. He just stood there while everybody around him was on the floor.
Here's the thing: sometimes you come into an atmosphere like this and you receive prayer. Don't be surprised if you don't feel anything tangible—that doesn't mean you're not receiving something. I had a young man, one of our students, who never felt anything when he got his hands laid upon him. He never felt anything tangible, but he believed. When he went back to his church, they did a fire tunnel, and he noticed something: every person that he laid hands on, one after the other, just began to fall out under the power of God.
What happened? He received something. Revival is transferable.
So this man, Randy Clark, received from Rodney Howard Brown. Randy Clark was then called by John and Carol Arnott to Toronto for a regular meeting. The spirit of God was poured out, and the rest is history. The Toronto Blessing was birthed in 1994 because there was a hungry, worn-out Baptist pastor who was willing to yield and receive impartation from someone who was carrying substance, who was carrying the anointing, who was carrying the presence to carry Revival.
He went to Toronto, and that one man ended up being a catalytic converter for that realm and region. It broke open and became a worldwide, international move of God. Some men from England came to that meeting, got so wrapped up in God's presence, and received a divine impartation. They took it back to England.
Then there was a man by the name of Steve Hill who heard that God was moving in England and showed up where God was moving. He was hungry and desperate: "I've got to have a touch of God. I don't care what it looks like. I'm done. I've got to have more." There's this desperation, this hunger. This man received what God was doing and went to a place called Brownsville to speak on Father's Day.
There was a man by the name of John Kilpatrick, a worn-out pastor who had just lost his mother and was tired of the ministry. He was crying out to God, but nothing was happening. But all of a sudden Steve Hill shows up for a fresh impartation and begins to preach. He called an altar, and over 2,000 people—the whole church—came to the altar. People started falling out under the power of God, getting completely wrecked and blasted in God's presence.
John Kilpatrick was so apprehended by God, he laid on the stage. He was so touched by the glory of God—that weighty glory—he could not even lift his head. He had to have somebody lift his head and hold up his eyelids because the glory of God was resting so heavily on him.
There's a man by the name of Bill Johnson, my spiritual papa, who went to Toronto and became dear friends with Randy Clark. I had the wonderful privilege to travel with Bill all over the world, sit in those Randy Clark meetings, and lay hands on people with Randy and Bill.
I'll never forget a meeting with 2,000 students in first-year school of ministry. We were laying hands on about 2,000 students, and I was following behind Randy as we went down the line. People were just being slain into the power of God. All of a sudden, somebody taps and pushes me on my right shoulder. I turn around—nobody's there. I keep going and lay hands on people, and then I feel another tap and shove on my shoulder. I look, and no one's there.
Everybody's on the floor. Nobody can touch me. Then we make our way around the stage, and as I'm walking up on the stage, again I get shoved in the right shoulder. The Holy Spirit revealed to me: "It's an angel. I'm sending an angel to you. Listen, what Randy can do, you can do too. I want you to go for it."
That was the message. There is an anointing that is transferable. But here's the thing: I can pray for you until my hair falls out, but if you don't get off the floor of encounter and use what you've got, it will never be activated. It will lie dormant. People don't need your dormant anointing—they need an active anointing.
You've got to take risks. Revival comes at a cost. It will cost you everything. It will cost you your life.
1 Chronicles 16:9 says: "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, looking for someone whose heart is fully His, so He can show Himself strong on their behalf."
Ezekiel 22:30 says: "I looked for someone among them who would stand up and build a wall before me on behalf of the land, so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one."
Anytime God gets ready to do anything in the earth, He looks for a man. He looks for a mom. He looks for a dad. He looks for a school teacher, a judge, a doctor, a businessman. He's looking for people who will yield to His Spirit.
Genesis 2:5 says: "God had not caused it to rain on the earth because there is no man to till the ground." I believe God is ready to pour out the rain of His outpouring on our land and on our nations, but He's got to find someone who's willing to heal the ground. He's got to find a people who will say yes at any cost. He's got to find a people who will do whatever it takes and burn for Him.
Revival is transferable, but it also comes from the place of intimacy with God. Let me tell you how this works. When I get up in the morning, I fix myself whatever, and I'm just sitting there. I read my Bible, spend time with Jesus, drink my coffee. My boys have a habit—my sons—where they just come in and sit on my lap. We get each other's face. We talk, laugh, spend time together.
There have been many times when my son will get up and walk off into another room, and my wife will say, "Benjamin, you smell just like Daddy." That's the anointing. The anointing is when you get in your Father's presence, you get so wrapped up, you behold Him in such a way where that living substance called the anointing—that living fragrance—rubs off on your life. It saturates who you are. It carries weight. It carries authority. It carries permission. It carries commission. It carries everything you need to be effective for Him.
But if Benjamin didn't show up the next day and hang out with me, that cologne's going to wear off. You are meant to spend time with the Lord Jesus. You are meant to hang out with God and let His anointing rub upon you.
If you want to carry the anointing to carry Revival, it is time to buy some oil. There's a story of the ten virgins. They were all given the lampstand. They were all given the same measure. But there were only five that were wise—only five that went and bought oil. It's time to buy oil, and the cost is your life.
Look to your neighbor and say: "Neighbor, Revival comes in a man. Revival comes in a woman." If you have it, you can release it. You can bring it. When God wants to bless you, promote you, increase you, do something extraordinary in your life, He'll always send a man or a woman to bring it to you. It's just the way of the Kingdom.
I've sat in a lot of Revival meetings and seen people like Rodney Howard Brown and Randy Clark. One thing I want you to understand: when people start moving in power and the glory, sometimes they can come across almost borderline arrogant. But I don't believe it's arrogant at all. I believe it's confidence in what they carry. In order for you to release what you carry, you've got to know what you carry.
We're not called to be ordinary people—we're called to be extraordinary people. Do you believe you're called to release Revival?
If you're hungry to be used for Revival, if you're hungry to be a carrier of God's manifest presence, if you're hungry to carry the anointing, I've got really good news: you can take absolutely no credit for your hunger. If you're hungry, your hunger is actually an invitation from the Lord Jesus Himself to take you to the very thing that you're hungering for.
Your hunger is His Divine invitation. Your hunger is His Divine permission. Your hunger is His calling on your life, saying, "Come, eat, drink, run with me." It's going to begin to fall. The spirit of God is going to fall on many of you, and your hunger on the inside of you is God's invitation to come to the banqueting table.
If you're hungry right now, that is your indication that it is time for you to be promoted. It is time for you to step into increase. I want you to begin to cry out to God. Make it personal. We're going to lay hands on you, and you're going to receive an upgrade tonight.
