Jesus rose to life on this day 2,000 years ago. The word gospel means good news—euaggelion in Greek, meaning glad tidings. It's not a word unique to Christians. The Romans used it because Caesar always wanted to make himself look good. On the battlefield, he would present the euaggelion, the gospel, the good news, even when exaggerating victories. That's why some have termed it "news that is too good to be true."
But our news is fundamentally different. It's not propaganda—it's power.
In Exodus 3, God met a man called Moses and said, "I have heard the cry of my people." For hundreds of years, they cried for deliverance, and God heard them. God encountered Moses and made promises that echo into our own time.
Many years ago on this day, there was a feast called Passover, not Easter. On this feast, God began to decree the release of His people from captivity. This is why today you're going free from every demonic captivity. Listen: if He did it before, He'll do it again. Whatever stubborn thing has been holding on to your purpose, your destiny, or your future is about to let go of you today.
God raised His power against Pharaoh and plagued him with everything that Pharaoh was worshiping. When Pharaoh still would not let the children of Israel go, God did something as a final sign. He said, "Get a lamb, one for each household."
This lamb is the Lamb of God.
Because of this lamb, not just you are saved—your entire household is saved, and your entire household is coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Because of the lamb that was slain, He alone is worthy. It doesn't matter how stubborn they are or how stubborn the devils are that are holding on to them. There is a blood that still flows from Emmanuel's veins today, and that blood is about to set you and your family free.
That's why Joshua could boldly say: "As for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord."
We're not just excited for no reason. The man is no longer on the cross. On the third day, He rose again. And so our hope is not in vain. Our hope is in a living God. Every other god is an idol. They cannot speak.
Why am I not worried about other religions? Because Allah died. Muhammad died, and he's not raised again. But on the third day, all by Himself, this Jesus that you and I serve rose from the dead. We serve a victorious God. We serve a glorious God. And there's power in this God.
All power is in Him. There's nothing you're dealing with today that His power cannot reach. There is nothing.
Sometimes I asked God, "Why do You heal some and not heal everybody?" He looked at me and said, "Your faith has made you whole." No matter how much power is in a socket, you still have to connect.
There is power in Jesus. I know it like I know my own name. When we say there is power in the blood, we're not just talking lines. These are things we've seen. These are things we've touched. These are things we've handled. We know we serve a victorious God.
But we need to connect with this God with our faith. God is powerful, but He has limited His expression to your faith.
I pray you have capacity for what God is about to do next. When He talks to you about what He's going to do—this God might speak to a virgin and tell her, without the help of a man, "You're going to have a child." This God might speak to an ex-convict and tell him, "The stick in your hand is going to be used to deliver nations." This God can speak to a woman called Esther and tell her, "You're raised for such a time as this."
But all this God needs is faith. He just needs faith. Your faith is going to prove that Jesus is still alive.
Everything He said on that cross—He hung there and said tetelestai—"It is finished." That's a financial term. It means the debt has been cleared. Whatever was owed, I paid it. It's done. It's finished.
We're all at varying levels in our walk with God. I understand this. And sometimes I might offend when I say to people: ignore your feelings. Because our world is teaching us to be in our feelings. God is not teaching us to be in our feelings. He's teaching us to be in our faith.
What I've realized about faith is that faith is not without opposition. Even though He's finished His work on the cross, all hell will break loose to prove you a liar about your God. But in 2 Timothy, faith is described as a fight. He said, "Fight the good fight." I've realized something about this season: this Passover season is going to be for violent men.
I'm not just talking about physical violence. I'm talking about spiritual violence—the kind of passion and desperation that won't take no for an answer.
This season is going to be for a woman who's not allowed in the company of men because she has an issue of blood. She's told to shut up, be quiet, and sit at home. But she gets angry in her spirit and says, "If I can just touch the hem of His garment..." You can't be emotionally crippled and move with faith at the same time.
This next season is for men who can't meet Jesus because they're too short, but they decide not to have excuses. They climb a tree if they've got to see Him. This is for people who can't get through a crowd, so they go above the crowd and cut a hole in a roof just to get to Jesus.
This next season is not going to Esau just because it's his birthright. No, it's going to Jacobs who know how to wrestle with God. This next season is going to those who have violence in their spirit.
But Apostle, I'm tired. I'm going through so much, and I'm tired.
There's something interesting I've discovered about heaven from the book of Revelation. He kept saying this line to those who overcome: "To him who overcomes..." It's as if modern Christianity tells me heaven is for losers who are escaping the difficulties of their life. But what I realized is that heaven is actually for champions.
When I get to heaven, I'm going to be in a hall of champions. Abraham is cheering me on, saying, "Go on, boy. When I had no hope, I yet hoped. And I can see you right now hoping even when there's no hope." I'm doing it for Esther. Esther's sitting in the cloud of witnesses right now, ready to cheer you on, saying, "Listen, don't think you're just a housewife or a kitchen maid. You were raised for such a time."
In Hollywood they have something called the Hall of Fame. In heaven they have something called the Hall of Faith.
I'm not living for now. I'm living for that heavenly wedding feast where I sit down with Smith Wigglesworth, where I sit down with Kathryn Kuhlman, where I sit down with Abraham and David. I'm not living for now. I'm living for then. I'm not living for your applause. Whether you celebrate me or don't celebrate me, I'm living for the audience of one. I'm living to see Jesus.
This God said, "I will not put more on you than you can bear." Not just can you bear it—you can overcome it.
In fact, let me go deeper for you. Because He overcame the final boss. The final boss is not Satan. The final boss at this game is death itself.
Before He resurrected, He proved He was resurrection. Sometimes you have to read your Bible to understand why there were soldiers at His grave. Why would you guard a tomb? Why would you guard a dead man? It's because He has this uncanny ability to outsmart death.
Historical documents show that many believed He was a magician. I actually found a document that some sailors had in the Viking era. They used to call on the name of the magician Jesus because they realized that demons bow to Him. Even in history, they realized the power of that name.
Why would you guard Him? Because a few chapters earlier, He had a friend who died. The friend was there for four days. The tomb was sealed. And they opened the tomb and the wolf of death was there—the stench—because it takes three days to decay. He needed to make sure this man was dead. He's not Houdini. He would have faked it somehow. So He had to show, "I'm not a magician and this is not an illusion. I need you to witness the fact that this person is dead. Stinking, decayed. It's not healing he needs. It's power."
There's going to be a requirement of a certain voltage of electricity to bring this body back to life. Not just that, but wherever His soul is, I've got to call that back to this body. Four days gone, and Jesus calls Him out of the tomb.
Now, what are the rumors after that? Obviously, "There's a back door to the tomb. It must have been a back door somehow." But the tombs in those days were rock, sealed with heavy stones. There's also no oxygen because you can't let the smell out. So they're still trying to figure out this "magic trick." The rumor spreads: when He dies, He'll rise again. So make sure we guard Him this time.
I was fascinated by a documentary where some scientists wanted to disprove the resurrection of Christ. There's this archaeological find—a garment called the Shroud of Turin. A photograph of a man slain is on the garment. They counted over 600 lashes on his body. Some scientists went to disprove it, but in studying it, all the scientists were converted. A photograph before photographic technology existed. No scientist today has been able to replicate it. They said the voltage of electricity required to imprint a body on a garment requires nuclear force.
The real victory is that the God you serve died naked on a cross. Does it make sense that THAT'S a God? Gods are meant to be powerful, mighty. Look at Zeus with his mighty thunder. Look at Hermes. Look at Diana. How glorious they are. And your own is naked on a cross.
What they didn't understand was that just thousands of years ago, a man called Moses would put this blood on the door, and that would be the first Passover. Now they pass through the Red Sea because God said, "Get your bags. You're leaving."
As they journey on, the first place they come to is water called Marah. It was bitter. Interestingly, scholars have found that the name is also the name Mary. So the prophet took a piece of wood and put it in Marah, and the water became sweet.
It's as if God is showing off throughout Scripture that one day He's going to send His Son and put the wood inside the bitter water, and the bitter water becomes sweet.
Who am I talking to in this room? The bitterness of your life—I don't care what the devil has done to make your life feel bitter. You've gone through wounds and you've gone through pain. God is about to turn your bitterness to sweetness.
As they keep journeying, Moses begins to ask God, "Show me Your glory." God said, "You can only see My back, but if you stand on this rock beside Me..." Some of you think you're not deserving of seeing the glory of God. There's nothing you can do to earn the goodness of God. God is good because God is good.
God tells Moses about the same rock. He says, "Beat it." The symbol of crucifixion. Later He says, "Speak to it." Moses beats it instead. And God says, "You can't crucify Me twice."
Later, manna fell from heaven. Jesus would say, "I am the manna." Manna means "What is it?" Sometimes God will come in a way that you cannot recognize Him.
Imagine the disciples walked with Jesus for many years. He dies, and one day the Bible says a stranger was on the shore. The same Jesus—a stranger said, "Lad, have you caught anything?" They didn't even know His voice.
If you tie God down to what He once did, you can miss what He's doing now. This God is more versatile than you've made Him. Moses said, "Who shall I say You are?" God said, "I am who I am. I'll be who I'll be. Stop limiting Me to your disappointment. Believe that I can be something for you now."
Do you need healing? I can be your Healer. Do you need deliverance? I can be your Deliverer. I just need currency. I need your faith.
As the journey continues, one day there was a man. The prophet said, "The place we are is too small. Let us go further." As they go further, one of them drops their axe head in the water.
The axe head is the symbol of your effectiveness. The axe head is the symbol of your wisdom. The axe head is the symbol of your strength. They lost their axe head and said, "Oh, alas, it was borrowed."
The prophet said, "Where have you laid the axe?" Just like Jesus said, "Where have you laid Lazarus?" The prophet put wood on top of the water, and the axe head began to float.
Somebody is gaining back their axe head today.
You see, only violent people. Someone is gaining back their effectiveness. Jesus was surrounded by people. Even as He says, "Someone touch Me" and everyone's touching you. Why don't we all receive miracles? Some of you are too calm for Jesus. You're too calm.
The prophet told the king, "Smite the ground with your arrows." The king went, and he said, "What's this?" The prophet said, "If you had smote the ground with more passion, if you had gone at it seven times, God would have given you total victory."
This God we serve loves passionate people. Oh, you say, "I'm an introvert. The way God understands my worship and the way I worship Him is different." That's fine. But David was dancing like a wild ass. David lost his mind. A king dancing with no dignity, with no respect. David remembered something.
The problem is some of you have forgotten the dashing that God picked you up from. Some of you have become too anointed, too collected for God. But David remembered where God bought him from. David remembered the nobody he was before God met him, and he began to dance like an ass. As he was doing it, his wife looked at him. You know, people with no passion—they just look. They just look. They never let themselves go.
Paul and Silas were in prison, praying in prison, singing in prison. And it says the prisoners heard them. They're in prison, but the Bible says the prisoners heard them. Prison is not a condition of reality—prison is a praiseless thing. When you cannot praise God, you're already in prison.
When I lose my praise, I'm really a prisoner. But if I can praise my God, if I can praise Him, you see—praise is spiritual. That's why I said, "As for me and my house..." Because as these men were praising God, God didn't just open their jail cells. God opened the jail of the whole house.
There's something about your praise that will deliver your family.
Your praise is not just for you. Your praise is for your generation. Your praise is for your children. There's something about praise.
This is why I can't listen to my emotions. My emotions will tell me not to praise. But it's okay not to be okay—that's John Legend. That's not Jesus. Jesus didn't say, "It's okay not to be okay." Jesus said, "They go from glory to glory."
Some say, "But we go through ups and downs." That's not what He said. He said, "They go from glory to glory." But how do we go from glory to glory? He said: they go from faith to faith. If you want to go to a new level of glory, you've got to go to a new level of faith. You've got to increase your faith. You've got to believe God to do more than you've ever thought possible. You've got to break the limitations off of God.
Who has sinned that this man is like this? His mother? His father? Jesus said, "No, no, no. He's just come for the glory." God wants to tell a good story.
Because God wants to tell a good story, He'll allow you to go through what you're going through just so His reputation shines. This sickness isn't unto death. It's come so God can tell an amazing story. God is a storyteller.
Don't worry about what your story looks like now. They say you're poor. Don't worry. It's a necessary part of the story. People had to see how you were. So when God finishes doing what He's going to do, everybody knows it was Him.
Don't worry about the nation. They say we're going down. Things aren't happening. Don't worry. God has to let them tell a story because God needs to be the author.
The problem, saints, is when you start acting like men are your author. When you give up, you declare another man is the author of your story. The problem is when you let your feelings be the author. God is the author.
I've just learned something in my life. When I'm weak, I say I'm strong. When I'm poor, I say I'm rich. I've learned to live like a walking contradiction. I've learned to believe what God says about me.
When I'm sick, I start moving like I'm a healed person. When I have no job, I start hiding my suit and I dress every day like the employer of labor.
This God we serve will look at a man called Abram and say, "Your name is Abraham." So everywhere he goes, he can be ridiculed. Abraham—Father of Nations—100 years old. Where are your children? Why do you have this name? To give you that name means you fathered many children.
You and I serve a God who causes those things that be not as though they were.
The power that's been supplied to you has not come just from the cross. It's come from the tomb. It's come from the resurrection.
Let's give Him a new name: Jehovah Capacity. Will you and I serve Jehovah Capacity? This God has capacity. There's nothing impossible for Him. Nothing. He can raise you out of the wheelchair right now. He can get your bone straight.
Do you know the God I serve? If I tell you the stories of the God I serve, the devil has tried to quiet the stories, but the stories will be louder. You got to make the stories loud.
People have died, and in the Watch, Zara will go to a hospital and raise a young girl to life. That's the God I serve. As someone is in palliative care and I don't know them, but God gives me the name, and then a light enters their room and closes the wound. That's the God I serve.
As somebody's mother is sick, and as we're praying online, I say the woman's name and what she's dealing with, and that she's in pain, and the son doesn't even know. But I've told the son before, and the mom says it's true. And then the mom gives her life to Christ on the line, and then she gets healed. That's Jehovah Capacity.
All you need is to connect to the voltage. You need to touch the live wire of God.
You already have a legal right. What you don't have is dynamis—dynamite power. If that power of God should touch you now... The God I serve raised my spiritual mother with brittle bone disease. She had over 300 breaks in her body. She lived in a wheelchair. The God I serve raised that woman up. She stood on broken bones and began to dance on broken bones. As she was dancing on the broken bones, Jehovah Capacity rose up and healed her body.
You see, that's why I said this is for violent people. You don't sit down feeling sorry for yourself. When God is present, you stop making sad moves. You start checking your body. You start jumping on the spot. You release faith.
Light London is going to be responsible for the revival of the United Kingdom. This Light London will fill stadiums. It's in our destiny. It's been written. The nation will repent.
Because what God will do in us through faith will quench the mouths of lions. Through faith, we will subdue kingdoms. And why do we have this faith? Because Paul said if the resurrection didn't happen, our hope is in vain. But because He raised to life, our hope is secure.
Nobody should wear a cross with Jesus still on it. Wear the empty one. Let others wear the one with a dead man. He's not on the cross. We need an empty cross to keep reminding us that He is risen.
Whatever you're going through, you have no choice. You have to overcome.
Look at depression and step on it. Look at debt and step on it. Look at poverty and step on it. Because in your mind it should not be "I am trying to overcome." The reality is: I am overcoming.
Whatever you're going through—depression, sin, alcoholism—you have already overcome. You've already overcome. The only thing you and I have to do is look at Him. Look at Him.
I've learned this secret in worship. It's not about trying to hype you. It's about looking at Him. Kathryn Kuhlman said, "When Jesus becomes more real to you than you are to yourself, He'll heal you. He'll deliver you." The problem is you are too aware of yourself. You have to abandon yourself, and you have to keep your eyes on Jesus.
It doesn't take the Lord much to do what He wants to do in your life. It doesn't take much. Just ask Him right now. Ask Him for His power in your life. Tell Him:
"This life is for Your glory. You are the author and the finisher. You who began the good work in me, complete it. You're the potter and I'm the clay. I put myself back in Your hands."
This preacher spoke about power and connecting to power. I want to connect to that power that raised Jesus from the dead. I need that power in my life right now.
If you know how to pray in the Holy Ghost, pray in the Holy Ghost. I need that power. I give You my faith. I give You my confidence.
A man was sick for 38 years. It doesn't matter how long it's been happening in my life. I give You my confidence. I give You my trust.

Some of you think you're not deserving of seeing the glory of God. There's nothing you can do to earn the goodness of God. God is good because God is good.
God tells Moses about the same rock. He says, "Beat it." The symbol of crucifixion. Later He says, "Speak to it." Moses beats it instead. And God says, "You can't crucify Me twice."
Later, manna fell from heaven. Jesus would say, "I am the manna." Manna means "What is it?" Sometimes God will come in a way that you cannot recognize Him.
Imagine the disciples walked with Jesus for many years. He dies, and one day the Bible says a stranger was on the shore. The same Jesus—a stranger said, "Lad, have you caught anything?" They didn't even know His voice.
If you tie God down to what He once did, you can miss what He's doing now. This God is more versatile than you've made Him. Moses said, "Who shall I say You are?" God said, "I am who I am. I'll be who I'll be. Stop limiting Me to your disappointment. Believe that I can be something for you now."
Do you need healing? I can be your Healer. Do you need deliverance? I can be your Deliverer. I just need currency. I need your faith.
As the journey continues, one day there was a man. The prophet said, "The place we are is too small. Let us go further." As they go further, one of them drops their axe head in the water.
The axe head is the symbol of your effectiveness. The axe head is the symbol of your wisdom. The axe head is the symbol of your strength. They lost their axe head and said, "Oh, alas, it was borrowed."
The prophet said, "Where have you laid the axe?" Just like Jesus said, "Where have you laid Lazarus?" The prophet put wood on top of the water, and the axe head began to float.
Somebody is gaining back their axe head today.
You see, only violent people. Someone is gaining back their effectiveness. Jesus was surrounded by people. Even as He says, "Someone touch Me" and everyone's touching you. Why don't we all receive miracles? Some of you are too calm for Jesus. You're too calm.
The prophet told the king, "Smite the ground with your arrows." The king went, and he said, "What's this?" The prophet said, "If you had smote the ground with more passion, if you had gone at it seven times, God would have given you total victory."
This God we serve loves passionate people. Oh, you say, "I'm an introvert. The way God understands my worship and the way I worship Him is different." That's fine. But David was dancing like a wild ass. David lost his mind. A king dancing with no dignity, with no respect. David remembered something.
The problem is some of you have forgotten the dashing that God picked you up from. Some of you have become too anointed, too collected for God. But David remembered where God bought him from. David remembered the nobody he was before God met him, and he began to dance like an ass. As he was doing it, his wife looked at him. You know, people with no passion—they just look. They just look. They never let themselves go.
Paul and Silas were in prison, praying in prison, singing in prison. And it says the prisoners heard them. They're in prison, but the Bible says the prisoners heard them. Prison is not a condition of reality—prison is a praiseless thing. When you cannot praise God, you're already in prison.
When I lose my praise, I'm really a prisoner. But if I can praise my God, if I can praise Him, you see—praise is spiritual. That's why I said, "As for me and my house..." Because as these men were praising God, God didn't just open their jail cells. God opened the jail of the whole house.
There's something about your praise that will deliver your family.
Your praise is not just for you. Your praise is for your generation. Your praise is for your children. There's something about praise.
This is why I can't listen to my emotions. My emotions will tell me not to praise. But it's okay not to be okay—that's John Legend. That's not Jesus. Jesus didn't say, "It's okay not to be okay." Jesus said, "They go from glory to glory."
Some say, "But we go through ups and downs." That's not what He said. He said, "They go from glory to glory." But how do we go from glory to glory? He said: they go from faith to faith. If you want to go to a new level of glory, you've got to go to a new level of faith. You've got to increase your faith. You've got to believe God to do more than you've ever thought possible. You've got to break the limitations off of God.
Who has sinned that this man is like this? His mother? His father? Jesus said, "No, no, no. He's just come for the glory." God wants to tell a good story.
Because God wants to tell a good story, He'll allow you to go through what you're going through just so His reputation shines. This sickness isn't unto death. It's come so God can tell an amazing story. God is a storyteller.
Don't worry about what your story looks like now. They say you're poor. Don't worry. It's a necessary part of the story. People had to see how you were. So when God finishes doing what He's going to do, everybody knows it was Him.
Don't worry about the nation. They say we're going down. Things aren't happening. Don't worry. God has to let them tell a story because God needs to be the author.
The problem, saints, is when you start acting like men are your author. When you give up, you declare another man is the author of your story. The problem is when you let your feelings be the author. God is the author.
I've just learned something in my life. When I'm weak, I say I'm strong. When I'm poor, I say I'm rich. I've learned to live like a walking contradiction. I've learned to believe what God says about me.
When I'm sick, I start moving like I'm a healed person. When I have no job, I start hiding my suit and I dress every day like the employer of labor.
This God we serve will look at a man called Abram and say, "Your name is Abraham." So everywhere he goes, he can be ridiculed. Abraham—Father of Nations—100 years old. Where are your children? Why do you have this name? To give you that name means you fathered many children.
You and I serve a God who causes those things that be not as though they were.
The power that's been supplied to you has not come just from the cross. It's come from the tomb. It's come from the resurrection.
Let's give Him a new name: Jehovah Capacity. Will you and I serve Jehovah Capacity? This God has capacity. There's nothing impossible for Him. Nothing. He can raise you out of the wheelchair right now. He can get your bone straight.
Do you know the God I serve? If I tell you the stories of the God I serve, the devil has tried to quiet the stories, but the stories will be louder. You got to make the stories loud.
People have died, and in the Watch, Zara will go to a hospital and raise a young girl to life. That's the God I serve. As someone is in palliative care and I don't know them, but God gives me the name, and then a light enters their room and closes the wound. That's the God I serve.
As somebody's mother is sick, and as we're praying online, I say the woman's name and what she's dealing with, and that she's in pain, and the son doesn't even know. But I've told the son before, and the mom says it's true. And then the mom gives her life to Christ on the line, and then she gets healed. That's Jehovah Capacity.
All you need is to connect to the voltage. You need to touch the live wire of God.
You already have a legal right. What you don't have is dynamis—dynamite power. If that power of God should touch you now... The God I serve raised my spiritual mother with brittle bone disease. She had over 300 breaks in her body. She lived in a wheelchair. The God I serve raised that woman up. She stood on broken bones and began to dance on broken bones. As she was dancing on the broken bones, Jehovah Capacity rose up and healed her body.
You see, that's why I said this is for violent people. You don't sit down feeling sorry for yourself. When God is present, you stop making sad moves. You start checking your body. You start jumping on the spot. You release faith.
Light London is going to be responsible for the revival of the United Kingdom. This Light London will fill stadiums. It's in our destiny. It's been written. The nation will repent.
Because what God will do in us through faith will quench the mouths of lions. Through faith, we will subdue kingdoms. And why do we have this faith? Because Paul said if the resurrection didn't happen, our hope is in vain. But because He raised to life, our hope is secure.
Nobody should wear a cross with Jesus still on it. Wear the empty one. Let others wear the one with a dead man. He's not on the cross. We need an empty cross to keep reminding us that He is risen.
Whatever you're going through, you have no choice. You have to overcome.
Look at depression and step on it. Look at debt and step on it. Look at poverty and step on it. Because in your mind it should not be "I am trying to overcome." The reality is: I am overcoming.
Whatever you're going through—depression, sin, alcoholism—you have already overcome. You've already overcome. The only thing you and I have to do is look at Him. Look at Him.
I've learned this secret in worship. It's not about trying to hype you. It's about looking at Him. Kathryn Kuhlman said, "When Jesus becomes more real to you than you are to yourself, He'll heal you. He'll deliver you." The problem is you are too aware of yourself. You have to abandon yourself, and you have to keep your eyes on Jesus.
It doesn't take the Lord much to do what He wants to do in your life. It doesn't take much. Just ask Him right now. Ask Him for His power in your life. Tell Him:
"This life is for Your glory. You are the author and the finisher. You who began the good work in me, complete it. You're the potter and I'm the clay. I put myself back in Your hands."
This preacher spoke about power and connecting to power. I want to connect to that power that raised Jesus from the dead. I need that power in my life right now.
If you know how to pray in the Holy Ghost, pray in the Holy Ghost. I need that power. I give You my faith. I give You my confidence.
A man was sick for 38 years. It doesn't matter how long it's been happening in my life. I give You my confidence. I give You my trust.
